The PANELBuilder system is the world’s leading CNC routing solution designed specifically for the aluminium composite (ACM) and metal composite market. By combining an advanced, easy-to-use software solution with a custom machine design, the PANELBuilder system makes it possible to process ACM materials faster, more consistently and at a lower cost than ever before.

With the AXYZ PANELBuilder system you will be able to design, nest and program machine panels in one seamless operation.

This system is specifically engineered for aluminium composite and metal composite manufacturers processing large volumes of cladding materials in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

PANELBuilder is designed to process all types of composite sheet materials such as Alucobond (Alcan Composites), Alpolic (Mitsubishi Chemical), Reynobond (Alcoa) and others.

It is equally capable of working with other cladding materials such as stainless composite material, titanium, copper or zinc as well as solid aluminium and high-pressure laminates such as Trespa.

Router Spindles

Choose from manual, quick-release, high-power and high-speed spindles for optimum processing of rigid sheet materials.

Solid Machine Base

A rigid, welded steel frame, fitted with an aluminium deck, creates a strong structure to support the most demanding processes.

Drive Systems

Choose from standard or helical racks for your choice of productivity and precision. All Z axes feature a precision ballscrew drive as standard.

Zoned Vacuum Deck

Pendulum Processing

The most efficient way to manufacture panels is to keep the machine cutting at all times. This is easily achieved using the PANELBuilder ‘Pendulum Processing’ feature.

This allows the machine bed to be split into 2 virtual zones so that a sheet can be processed on one zone while the operator removes the parts and waste from the other zone and a new sheet loaded ready to be cut. Automatic switching of the vacuum hold down and material locating pins are fully integrated for seamless, continuous production.

Panel Printer

Manually writing product codes or applying pre-printed labels onto individual parts is an arduous and time consuming task which is easily prone to human error. PanelPrinter offers a fully integrated device, mounted alongside the cutting head and is designed to automatically print data on individual parts as they are machined.

The PanelPrinter eliminates problems and potential errors associated with the manual labelling approach. This enables greater accuracy, easier tracking and a more productive workshop. Being able to print 2D Data Matrix Codes as well as standard text, the PanelPrinter can be used in conjunction with the 2D Barcode Reader. Printing at speeds of 12.7m/min the PanelPrinter has minimal impact on production times, and data is automatically included in the program output from the PANELBuilder Software.

Automatic Tool Change

For maximum productivity Series machines can be fitted with an automatic toolchange carousel containing 7, 21 or even 33 tool stations. The carousel is mounted on the gantry to minimise the toolchange time

Spray Mister

Certain materials, in particular aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, often cut better with a small amount of lubricant or coolant. The Unist Mister option will automatically apply a pre-set amount to the tool during cutting and is compatible with all pressure feet options.

Alignment

Pneumatically operated steel pop-up pins are useful for ensuring repeatable material placement. The number and positioning of the pins is fully customisable.

Chip Extraction

The High Capacity chip extraction foot is a vital component of your AXYZ CNC Router. The pressure foot is specially designed for optimal chip extraction as well as assisting with material stability for high quality of cut.

Vacuum Manifold

The vacuum manifold is available for twin and triple head configurations. It contains fully automatic valves for switching suction to the currently active head. Waste extraction is extremely efficient and reduces the need for manual debris removal.

ACM Chip Collector

The ACM Chip Collection System included a regenerative blower as a vacuum source, along with a stainless steel can to collect your chips.

Nose Rider

The Nose Rider Collar is an AXYZ exclusive machine accessory. Some applications require a very exact depth of cut into the materials, especially for processes that rely on consistent depths for accuracy. Used in conjunction with the high capacity pressure foot, the Nose Rider collar ensures the cutting tool will only protrude through the bottom of the foot for the exact depth required for consistent cutting.

EZ Ryder

A purpose-built mounting plate option that reduces glide vibration when nose riding, which is made possible by being able to reduce pressure foot loading by up to 100%. Designed to fit standard AXYZ CNC machines. Weight assist can be adjusted from 0% - 100% to suit the processing material and application.
